Very cool page, and great extension!

This tool has a lot of potential.

Nice job!

Like the color scheme, the style and I love this extension. The only thing I don't like about the site is the use of Impact. Not my favorite font. But this extension really is amazing.

Very effective visual aspects. I think everything fits together, but yes, as Peter said, Impact is not a very good choice as a font - it is quite illegible.

But the text rendering is great and it is very navigable. I especially like the table for the shortcut keys - very intuitive.

Fantastic. How long will it be before we have a firefox / BBEdit hybrid?

Can't wait.

Lovin' the site as well. A+ to the pixel people!

Love the color scheme. Unfortunately the demo is not working and gives an error on page notice in IE6.

I'm aware the demo doesn't work in IE, its not hard too hard to fix, but if you aren't already using Firefox the extension won't do you much good. I'll try to fix that tho....

(and thanks those who said good things about the extension)

I think you're right Rob, there's not much point in making it work in IE. As a web designer I'm always busy testing my pages in IE and Firefox, and I just happened to be using IE when I saw your site, but that is indeed abnormal surfing behaviour :)

The header looks a little off balance with the rounded corners on the left against the aardvark on the right A good and unusual use of the page header to hold some important lead-in info. Also the offset of the large graphic title, and the slight punch out of the right column, does draw attention to the right column nicely. Good work, *great* extension (and nice favicon).

Why doesn't this extension work on some web sites...take a look at http://www.autisticcuckoo.net/

I'm not quite sure why it doesn't work, but I will look into it. It probably has to do with the doctype thing....the DOM structure changes depending on which doctype you use. I account for a couple different types, I guess I have to investigate the one that site uses.

I bet it has to do with the fact that the guy uses only divs to align his site and had no doctype...

Any way to remove table columns, rather than going cell-by-cell?

GravatarOn October 20, 2005 3:55 PM Shawn said:

Even though the demo on your website works in the nightly Firefox builds, the extension itself doesn't work.

Here is the error:

Error: uncaught exception: [Exception... "Security Manager vetoed action" nsresult: "0x80570027 (NS_ERROR_XPC_SECURITY_MANAGER_VETO)" location: "JS frame :: chrome://aardvark/content/aardvarkOverlay.js :: startAardvark :: line 804" data: no]

This tool is irreplacable, I hope you can fix whatever is going on in line 804! Kudos!

This is exactly what I've been waiting for. MyIE2/Maxthon had a great extension similar to this called EditPage and I have been missing it since I switched to FF.

I'd just like to say i think this site has such a nice visual lay out! :D

I love the Aardvark extension. I am looking forward to any updates/additional functions. Example: Select multiple areas of a page for inclusion.

Works great in FF 1.5.05 using Mr Tech Local install to fool the version number to allow it to install.
