This audience seems to be overly critical of some really good designs based on irrelevant factors like "I don't like these colours" or "This site is too dark".

Compared to CSS Vault or others, the tone of a large group of comments here on beauty is needlessly negatory.

Why the peanut gallery feels they must point out that they're not partial to browns or greens seems completely ludicrous. These sites have already been constructed, and one would think that things like colour consideration have already been finalized durning the process.

I already know which colours I'm partial to, and frankly I don't give a damn about whether or not yours are the same..

Perhaps it's time to be a little more construcitve to those submitting sites instead of trying to find something wrong with them all of the time, don't you think?

PS: I didn't submit this site, nor to I know the person who did, or the author for that matter.

And Dave P, I agree with you on one ground - that comments need to be more constructive. It is necessary for sites to get criticism, but criticism needs to be constructive also, and I realize that many of the comments on CSS Beauty are criticizing but are not constructive at all.

And Matthew, I agree with your comment about adding hover to the links. That would add even more masterpiece to the site.

I agree with Dave about some of the unnecessary garbage comments. Does "mediocre" help anybody? At least supply a little context.

PS: I submitted this site. I don't have any connection to the author, nor had I ever heard of Seattle U. before stumbling upon it. I just think that sites like this are what CSS Beauty is all about.

There is a reason they have a comment tab... I stated my opinion and thats that. As for not being "man enough" you pretty much dug your own hole there 'fella. Dave if you would like to further go over this topic email me.
Furthermore, I am five ( a smart 5) and I am at a playground... Isnt WI-FI awesome!

I am not trying to be an ass... I apologize greatly for stating my rapid opinion. I was coming back to comment at a later time, hence me here now. I was in a rush and should have just waited.

One thing I would like to comment on myself. This is a design site... It focuses on design. At some point in your life someone will "piss on your work". It has happened to me and I enjoy the moment. It is constructive and puts a fire under me. Comments such as not being man enough, being a five year old etc... are even worse than oneshot comments such as mediocre. So hypocritical.
My apologized to any designer who was hurt by my response. Hopefully you now understand where I was coming from.
