There are only two things I'm concerned about:
1) Isn't it awkward to have headings in Flash? ABC News has Flash headings but they're corporate. For a simple blog? I don't really think so.
2) The length of the page could really be annoying as time goes by. I find that in order to see what's at the bottom, you have to scroll down quite a while. As more content is added, this may be a hassle for both the designer and the user.

The only things I think could be improved are:
1. Live search doesn't seem to work in Firefox (1.0.4, win XP SP 2). It does work in IE6 but the image gallery bit appears on top of the results making them unreadable...2. I dunno, but the header logo seems as though it needs a bit more space above it.
But other than that, a great job!
