Very nice site, love how each section has it's own flavor.

David: they are similar, but nothing to be alarmed about.

anyways, great job!

First off, thanks to CSS Beauty for posting my site!

David, I remember seeing that site on here a little while back. Yes, I've also used fruit, and both sites are fairly minimal, but as Skipp said, I don't think it's a big problem.

One of the most difficult choices was the link colours. It would be sensible to have each section's links in the main colour (e.g. red, green, etc.), but that would mean no uniformity in link colours across the site. In the end I just chose black, and although they don't stand out as much, I think it's probably clearer for the user. What do you guys think?

Paul, first of all, nice work. It looks like your going to have a really great service once you get everything running.

As for the links, I think going with black was a good choice, but have you thought about a :hover state? You could even try using each page's color as a hover color for the links. That might be a usability issue, but then again, your primary audience seems to be web designers who have been around the web a while.

How did you decide on what fruits to use?

Peter: Thank you! That's a great idea - perhaps a reversed hover state al la 37signals? The reversed background colour could match that of the current section. I'll have a play and see how it looks.

Fruit-wise, I just trawled iStock for decent photos, and tried to get a good variation of colours. There are surprisingly few good-quality, isolated fruit images on iStock :-)

I dig it, lots of whitespace, nice typo, and a pretty cool service being provided.

Only thing i dont like is the margin-right on in the menu..

i prefer something like:

margin-right: x/2
margin-left: x/2

instead of
margin-right: x
