On June 1, 2005 3:24 AM Kev said:Lovely site, spoiled by the authors attempt at spamming the Search Engines.
NB author: Hiding keywords in H1 elements which are in turn commented out won't work and makes you look very unprofessional.
On June 1, 2005 3:57 AM Sean said:Hey Kev, I forgot to take out those comments, but you are correct, commented out h1 tags wont do anything to increase search ranking, and is very unprofessional. Thanks for the tip, I'll take them out now

On June 1, 2005 4:44 AM Freddy said:Interesting, with the occasional fresh idea (like the mirror effect on the top bar which is done very nicely).
Yet, as good as the general layout works out, the content layout doesn't: Too many different font sizes, font colors, and line height variations. Unexplained spaces on the one side, paragraph margins that barely match the next paragraph's line height on the other. And the form input background is irritating, it looks like it's been forgotten to set.

Well done.

The navigation is really clever, with the switching gradients and the Flash animation is really nice. The bottom links should probably stand out more.

On June 4, 2005 12:46 AM Matt (Designer) said:Cheers Brian. We're very pleased with the outcome of Scallywag. Adding the sound put cherrys on the icing. Nice and professional accents indeed. Thanks everyone for the helpful feedback. Sean (code-man) has been further improving the code. Scallywag are excellent to work with as they know what they want to say and how to say it. Untill next time.
On June 5, 2005 10:03 AM Ben said:I think the design is nice. However ,unlike the commentor above, I don't like the sound. If I'm listening to mp3's I don't want some disembodied voice to spring up from nowhere. I think if you're going tp add sound to a site you should ALWAYS give the user the option to turn the sound off.
The rest of the site was fine, and the addition of the animated flash helps bring the site to life (something I quite like adding myself)
