A very nice concept overall but has way too many design mistakes. Texture overkill. White text on that backround is hardly readable. The site does have potential though.

texture overkill for sure, I can barely read the text.

Yeah, this site is...thick...
Gorgeous artwork, but it would really benefit from a filter layer or something behind the text.

agreed on the texture, its nice, just a bit overkill on the text.

nice cms (xaraya), table-less, 1.0 strict out of the box.

I could read any of this on my 24in. I understand wanting to show off graphic skills on a blog, but what good is that if you cant read the blog?

Fantastic implementation but yeah it is a bit too heavy visually. I understand the concept and commend the artist but it is not a practical web site design. Beautiful though.

I think the site is beautiful. I love the structure. I think the texture makes the site unique. Too many people stray from using it. And I can't say I'm having a hard time reading it at all. A lot easier to read then the damn light gray on white that so many people are using lately. But anyway, great job frat. ZZZ-PHI!

Beautiful design (ok, everyone say that) : typographics are well thought, colors are warm and texture plus picture give this website a nice aspect.
But the right part need to be more readable, probably adding a white transparent box under text.
I (personaly) don't like when the main menu don't explain the "where am I" but here it could break the design.
Perhaps some random picture (same colors and themes) may add little variation.

Like the design but the text is really hard to read. A little more overall contrast (content > design) would be nice.

This definitely looks like someone who has a handle on typography, but is trying their hand at "grunge" for the first time. A little bit that is well placed goes a lot further than taking sandpaper to the whole site. But hey, that's how you learn. The color scheme is decent, but I think it could have been pushed to make it more interesting visually (more depth).

Useability should come first, as always...
