I really like the colors that we're used on the site and the links are something that sets the site apart from most sites. Other than that, nothing really groundbreaking, but definetily clean and well-excuted. Well done!

I was wondering when this one would pop up. He does good work and Mint looks promising as a tool.

Mint is a very elegant combination of code and design.

I don't understand why there's so much hype about minth. There are thousadns of statistic tools that offer twice as many features and are free. Just ta name one, BBclone.

Inman on top of his game as usual.
Like the png page teasers - adds a a bit of depth and breaks-up the vertical and horizontal lines in a groovy manner. Sound.

Nice colors. Lots of green in the past time, but still nice. There is not much left of headers and graphics in IE5.

GravatarOn September 6, 2005 12:29 PM Max said:

Screw IE 5 =). It looks good, it works good. IE 5 shouldn't be supported in tools such as this.

GravatarOn September 6, 2005 12:50 PM Julia said:

Not that hard to fix these little issues for IE5!

GravatarOn September 6, 2005 1:16 PM Edward said:

This site looks JUST like the peer-to-peer software AcquisitionX's purchase screen.

GravatarOn September 6, 2005 1:50 PM Julia said:

Edward, url please?

GravatarOn September 6, 2005 2:09 PM Lance Jonn Romanoff said:

As far as I can tell, AcquisitionX's purchase process is run through Paypal, which doesn't look terribly similar to Mint.

GravatarOn September 6, 2005 2:57 PM Edward said:

In the actual application itself, not their site.

GravatarOn September 6, 2005 4:34 PM Julia said:

Edward, could you post a screenshot?

GravatarOn September 6, 2005 6:07 PM proph3t said:

Not sure how deserving this really is, I understand hes an acclaimed designer, but the website is rather simplistic. Nothing that hasn't been seen elsewhere and while I agree it's well done, I don't see anything that really sets it apart.

GravatarOn September 6, 2005 6:43 PM Tim said:

I like the site... simple and it seems to do the job quite good.
About the comments about it: i think there are many people that envy the work of this guy. I am almost new to this world and in the past months i've been learning, just by see sites like those done by this gentleman, by the designers of: stopdesign, simplebits, an so many sites.
Every has is unique taste, although sometimes there are some thinks that are very similar.
So, it is not odd to see some things equal or that are inspired in the same source...

Just my two cents.

Here's a screenshot of Acquisition, and a shot of mint. http://chincoteaguerental.com/i/mint.gif

GravatarOn September 6, 2005 10:10 PM josh said:

Kind of plain looking. Why is this site featured on here? I've seen some of the work Inman has done in the past, but this one is just simply borring. If you want a FREE counter checkout http://www.bbclone.de

I was hanging out to see this...kinda dissapointing from a design perspective. It's really boring...yes funtional...but still very boring.

RE: Acquisition vs Mint -- Muh, all art is theft.

GravatarOn September 7, 2005 6:05 AM mesh said:

This site serves the product well. No fancy pants design, just well focused on the product. Well coded and designed.
My only small gripe is that Myriad is being used yet again as a typeface.

GravatarOn September 7, 2005 2:37 PM Peter G. said:

The only thing the Acquisition screenshot has in common with the Mint site is the color. And only one color at that.

I think the site looks great and it serves it's purpose perfectly. I love the teaser that sticks out from the sides of each page. Very clever.

Mesh, that's DIN, not Myriad. Besides, what's wrong with Myriad?

GravatarOn September 7, 2005 3:53 PM James Bouder said:

It dosen't load.

Safari can’t open the page ''http://www.haveamint.com/'' because it can’t find the server “www.haveamint.com”.

James, I had that problem on my iBook. I hit refresh and it worked. Mine was caused by a crappy wireless network at college.

GravatarOn September 7, 2005 9:35 PM Stephanie said:

I think the site is beautiful. But the similarities with the Acquisition screenshot that Edward provided are kinda odd. Looks like the intro and the index for the same exact site.

GravatarOn September 8, 2005 6:25 AM Nathan said:

MMM thats sweet, nice design, nice colours, whats left to say?

GravatarOn September 8, 2005 8:31 AM Joshua Kendall said:

"whats left to say?" - Nathan

Where the hell is "Spear"? He already has "Pepper". :)

GravatarOn September 8, 2005 4:10 PM Stephen said:

Looks great and serves its purpose I would say. I think people just expect a lot because of its author.

GravatarOn September 8, 2005 6:35 PM Aaron said:

I gotta agree with mesh. Focusing on the product is the only purpose of that site. What amazing things should it do? Anything else detracts from its purpose.

GravatarOn September 12, 2005 7:01 PM Dave said:

I (for one) like the design, it's crisp and very precise. Like many have said is serves the perpose of the app perfectly and therefore, I have no problem with is minimaliscity.

But, no mint for me just now;
Mediatemple down 12-13/9/05. It's been out for a couple of hours now and it's really bugging me.

GravatarOn September 14, 2005 6:53 PM Jason said:

LOVE IT. I purchased Mint, and it's awesome.

GravatarOn September 28, 2005 9:47 PM George said:

I like it, though I would have done the menu differently. All it is now on rollover is bold and a yellow. It looks kind of thrown in at the last moment. Otherwise its good, and green. Very green.

Love Mint! The whole concept is great!
