Seriously, did I miss something? Is there a special reason NOT to set the page background color and relying on the standard #FFF instead?

I'm sad to see sites that are otherwise really well executed fall apart if you dare to set a slighter grey as default background.

(By the way: I like the twist on the new CSSBeauty comment form layout. Maybe you should take the hover border off the submit button tho.)

It's hard for me to remember to set a body background color...I'm sure it's just an oversight.

I have my IE intentionally set to gray so that I can't help but notice it before something ships.

Nice site.

how many people would have their sytem set up with a non-white background anyway?

I don't get this comment. I see a white background and it looks great!

I totally dig the interactive sign on the right.

People like Eric and me who are working in the web developing sector, for example. Or, generally speaking: More than zero. For this reason I made it a habit not to rely on defaults.

Anyway, I just wanted to make sure it's not me being ignorant to some issue that particularly requires not setting a page background color. Especially when you so heavily rely on a specific background color as this site.

Very nice site design. It's clean and simple. By the way, I have pretty much the exact same Curious George from my child hood days :)

I got it now... you are just frustrated that there is no background-color set.

Phew, what a relief. Now that you got me figured out I can already stop explaining the real issue to you. You will deduce the clue by observing me. Thank you.
