Solid and very polished, appealing and invites you to read more of the site from the first page.

As much as I hate comic sans, this design doesn't make me want to puke that much. Nice job.

the comic sans kills it.

I can understand why they use Comic Sans (given the target audience) but surely there's a slightly less garish option out there?

I don't understand people who say 'I hate comic sans' for no reason whatsoever. I think it's appealing in this case and although there's a little too much of it, I think they've gotten away with it.

I'd suggest comic sans titles and sans text for this one.

Thanks for the feedback on the Homework House! We had fun with that one - it's the first site that I've ever designed in crayon, which actually turned out to be a blast. Try it sometime. Yes, the Comic Sans was a bit of a compromise :). But I think it turned out pretty well - we used Verdana for the paragraph fonts, which makes the text easier to read once you get into the site.

On a side note, props to Dominey Design for the great and flexible SlideShow Pro, which we used to make the main image swap on the home page.

Thanks again!

I really dig the efforts and doing a site that's a hat tip for the childlike almost always involves some variation of comic sans, which I think it a little too easy, but I understand the compromise. I hate that font with a passion, but if there's one place to use it, it's here, among a very solid design.

To the credit of it's usage, most sites that use comic sans are awful and the design is all about the type, here the design is about the theme, the playful and strong colors and the content, comic sans sort of fades back. Good design choices and a strong site. Nice.

Much as I severely dislike Comic Sans, the font is actually appropriate for the site given the target audience. Very good use of "drawn" elements for a child-like feel. Excellent use of colours. My only gripe is the centered, bolded subtitle underneath the main title in the About Us section. It should've been left-aligned. I would've used a slightly larger font in a different colour as well.
