The design is awesome and the mark-up is near perfect -- pretty well done. I suggest everyone reading the authors blog post on "carpool shotgun etiquette". http://thecolab.com/blog/2006/03/20/carpool-shotgun-etiquette/

My thoughts exactly...comic sans ruined it for me...

nice site, but comic sans is never ok, it's just something a designer has to accept ;-)

The Comic Sans is an obvious sacastic take at the current state of web typography. Here it's used in a fun way and it fits the demographic perfectly. You haters need to loosen up a bit.

Thanks for all comments guys...but Ricky hit it dead on! we used comic sans because it is never used (in a good way), completely original, just like the brand. It also pairs well with the other hand crafted elements of the site.

Nice design, but the code just sucks. Waaaay too much wrapping in divisions really kills it for me.

Comic Sans! NOOOOOOOOOOO! I hate comic sans - doesn't matter where or how its used...

I hate comic sans as well but I it's actually used here well. Fits the site perfectly...and that's a VERY tough thing to do. Nice job.

Yeah, why's everyone so negative about comic sans? It normally doesn't work, but why, when it works so well here, still bash it, just because of what it is?

- The Comic Sans Puppy... should have been drowned at birth... apparently.

Why is everyone so anti comic sans, it never even bothered me. Its not as bad as some other fonts, and here it works great.

Hi,

Great job with the site. I think the design is excellent and there's not problem to me with the typeface.

I'm curious to know if the entire site is built off blog software and if so would you mind letting us know which one? If not, how did you put together the various sections?

Thanks again for sharing,
Mike

why use it - only because it is never used? Strange thought pattern

There are so many similar fonts that do a better job.

Fonty- what you just described is known as innovation, or 'standing out from the crowd'.

I think it works.

Mike - It's a php/MySQL backend built internally by the backend nerds here. Similar to other blogging tools, we use pages & posts to create the various sections and use a templating system to modify any HTML.

Most of You doesn't like comic sans but I say - right font on it's right place. Even one of the most hated font, like Comic Sans, actually don't bother me at all as long as it fits the site - like it does on this site.

Just because we don't like the font means, hopefully, we never avoid to use it. That would be a big mistake. Therefor I totally disagree with Your statement, Ian Lawson, what a designer have to accept or not.
