Wow, looks like a great use of a slider. Great form and function except for when you are viewing the tasting notes/specifications and the remaining info (story/stocklists). It seems like there should be a "Top" button to slide back up. Very innovative.

Great website. The website looks better than the wines here. ;)

Anyone else think this site (cssbeauty) is dead?

I think it's dead.

Look at the frequency of new sites and the frequency of comments.

Maybe CSS was a 'hawt new thang' once but it isn't any more.

If anything, it makes web design even more blind trend following and self referential.

All these sites (while individually very well crafted) are just following the followers.

Seen it all before.

Perhaps web designers should look at other fields of creative endevour rather than desparately trying to ape each other.

@Joe Crumn I'll be the first one to admit CSSB updates a lot less now than it used to, I just don't have time for it as I did before. I've moved on to more important things. I continue to update it because CSSB has a good following, still gets new visitors and for those new visitors I want to provide valuable info (news etc).

People forget there are still people who are learning web standards etc. CSSB might not be a good resource for us veterans, but it is still a good resource for the new comers or people trying to learn. Remember "view source"? It still works as a learning tool.

I list here sites and news that I personally like and or find interesting, a lot of people value that... If you don't well. MOVE ON! Find your own inspiration, create your own inspiration, nobody is holding a gun to your head here.

Veteran, here!

Alex, this site is still very useful. Always with the latest news about CSS/HTML. The gallery is also great, it could be updated more often, but it offers really great quality. I think should just keep this going as it is.

I still go to this site often. Actually, besides enjoying the latest trends and news I still feel the design of this site is still unique.

@Joe Crumn Mom always said if you don't have anything good (positive) to say, don't say anything at all...

Love your response Alex. I for one appreciate the TIME you obviously put into this website whether it be 5 minutes or 50 hours! Thank you...
