Doing a website for Gary Player, a legendary golfer, and we are going to have a flat international map showing all the golf courses he has designed. I want it to be really nice and slick. Can't use google maps or anything like that. I've looked at FlashMaps.com. Looks alright, but I'm really in awe of solutions like http://www.mariner.org/exploration/index.php?page=voyages who have up'd the standard for interactive maps, in my opinion. Well, I'm not a flash guru or a programming guru. But the quality of the site must be top tier.

Can anyone point me in the right direction for a great interactive map experience? It needs to be customizable and driven from XML. It also doesn't have to be as crazy as the above link, and could just fit in my content well. Any ideas? suggestions? advice?

    Thanks in advance,
    Brad

    Brad,

First of all let me clarify I work as a technician at Flashmaps (flashmaps.com). I came across your post this morning.

I'm not sure what you like about the mariner.org map (which looks very good, by the way), but I can tell you our products are really flexible. Almost certainly, you will be able to achieve what you are looking for with them.

Go call our toll free number (I prefer not to put it here, don't want to use this post as an ad) and explain us what you have in mind, and I'm sure we will be able to find a good solution.

    Best,
    Antonio

Have a look at our interactive map solution - MicroMaps - at www.micromaps.com - featuring a built in content management system, database driven, flash front-end, allows for the inclusion of Rich Media like videos and slide shows for every point of interest.

Create and Manage your own system easily

    Regards,

    Jorgen
