Does anybody know if nesting container blocks, especially tables within table cells affects z-index rendering?
I'm having some difficulty making a large image hover over a smaller one and actually displaying ABOVE anything else on the page.

The hover image keeps poking through lower-leveled z-index layers.
It doesn't make any sense to me, but maybe there is an issue with the way I've laid it out.

    Example is here: http://dev.ccdmd.qc.ca/monde/hoverboxTest3.html

Any help would be TREMENDOUSLY appreciated!

    Thx

Try removing the z-index from table#thumbnails, table.thumb and div.imgBox - that worked for me (Firefox & Safari).

    Hi again kari,

You're right. It works in FF and Safari. Any idea why it doesn't in IE?

Let me get back to you on that tomorrow. I don't have access to IE at the moment. I'm sure that it's an easy fix, once I figure it out, but that's really the problem with IE some times - you can't figure out a reason until you've accidentally solved the problem.
