    i like to know the script for drop down menu based on ajax for ordinary html website on linux server based .

    Like Yoda you are speaking why? Ajax you need not, javascript in decent browsers either. Need this you will if Internet Exlorer to work you want:

    Just for information, IE 7.0 Beta2 gives some padding (i presume) problems with the dropdown...
